According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 1 in 4 vehicles in the U.S. has an open safety recall. It’s even higher for older and used vehicles, which have only a 44% recall completion rate compared to 83% for newer vehicles.
We need help making your community aware of this issue.
Here’s how they can protect themselves and their families:
- Visit CheckToProtect.org to learn more and click "Check for recalls here."
- Check for open recalls using the vehicle’s make/model, or the Vehicle Identifi cation Number (located on the driver’s door, or on most insurance documents)
- If the vehicle has an open recall, make an appointment as soon as possible at a local authorized dealer to have it repaired for free.
